High tech games/toys – generally good or bad for kids?

I think those games are good if parents closely supervise their use. Kids need to have a variety of entertainment and physical activity to help round off their personality. My kids play baseball, lacrosse, piano, plus they are members of the Boy Scouts (the boys). They have high Tech Toys. But I insist that they put equal attention to each of those activities in addition to their school work. Sometimes they would gripe for having too much to do. But when I remind them that the least important activity to me is the video games, they shut up.
